WEEK ANALYSIS
Relative Flexibility
Euroleague Fantasy managers are called upon to masterfully manage their teams’ budgets in Round 6 that offers unlimited transfers.

Round 6 of Euroleague Fantasy tips off on Wednesday, October 22, with the matchup between Maccabi and Real Madrid serving as a special early Turn — the first of three that will make up this week’s game schedule. Beyond the three Turns, which offer extra flexibility for internal lineup management, the defining feature of Round 6 is that it grants full transfer freedom — meaning that every manager can make unlimited changes to their roster, reshaping their team ideally according to their financial means.

So, no matter how good or bad your current roster looks — even if you feel that nothing about it works, so to speak — you can turn everything upside down in this unique (not necessarily positive, as we’ve analyzed in depth in past seasons) aspect of this particular Fantasy game. Of course, you’ve likely already put in significant work to avoid having to use all 11 changes, having secured several undervalued players who steadily upgrade your team’s level. Still, this flexibility frees your hands completely, allowing you to bring in every player you can afford — even if it means a few necessary financial or tactical sacrifices. If there’s ever been a player you’ve always wanted but could never fit in due to other priorities, or conversely, one who’s been stuck on your roster for weeks (say, a typical 4-credit filler), now is the perfect time to make the adjustments you’ve been holding off on.

This also means you can plan and implement a more long-term strategy — especially if you’re torn between two similar players — by choosing the one you’d rather keep for the next several rounds. After all, once this week concludes, we return to the standard 3+1 (or 4) transfer limit.

The timing is actually ideal for such planning, partly because the recent double round provided a substantial sample size from the first five games to identify early trends and hierarchies, and partly because injuries continue to pile up — including some that affect popular Fantasy assets such as Osmani, Forrest, Jackson, and others.

In theory, all of this sounds easy — in practice, however, team budgets haven’t yet reached the levels needed to “play ball” as freely as managers might like. As a result, this unlimited transfer round will, in most cases, translate into an extra one or two moves beyond the usual quota (around 5–6 total), since most teams already have some solid and still undervalued options.

With all that in mind, it’s time to reshape your team — or more precisely, to preserve its core while making the essential corrective adjustments, however many those may be, in order to improve your squad’s competitive balance. And if your final lineup doesn’t look perfect right now, don’t be discouraged! The point is to design a plan that strengthens your team over the next few rounds, step by step. Even if the end result doesn’t yet seem ideal, remember: the goal is for your picks to generate profit — increasing both your team’s budget and its long-term potential.

Meanwhile, at BasketStories we’ve introduced two new pages primarily tied to Euroleague Fantasy. The first is the Ranking Distribution page, which breaks down each player’s Index Rating into three core components of his game. The second is the Ranking/Points Ratio, a metric offering an early indication of how “safe” a player might be, based on how dependent his output is on scoring and his nightly form. You can read more details in the related article, while more data-driven tools are already in development at the BasketStories DataCenter.

Round 6@ Virtus
vs SGs+1.01

The unexpectedly poor performance of the American guard against Efes dropped his price by 0.9 credits but, more importantly, raised serious concerns about his fantasy status early in the season, as it followed the 5 PIR he had posted against Barcelona in Round 2 (where Panathinaikos lost, unlike the Efes game which was an easy win). Nunn’s price now looks more attractive and his potential is undeniable, yet his selection seems to carry a bit more risk — especially in an unlimited transfers round, where you can reshape your entire roster. If you can fit him in without too many cuts, it might be worth the gamble in hopes of a steady upward trend, otherwise there are clearer undervalued options in the market right now.

Carsen Edwards (Βίρτους Μπολόνια) - 14,5

Round 6vs Panathinaikos
vs SGs-5.03

Fifty-five PIR points over the double gameweek for the American lifted his price by 1.2 credits and reminded everyone of his last-season version. His previous games, however, were not nearly as convincing and generally more …off-target, so some caution remains about the Virtus guard’s fantasy outlook. A potential breakout in a team without many fantasy alternatives could propel him, and perhaps that has already begun — but 14.5 credits is still a steep price to pay to test that theory immediately.

Elijah Bryant (Χάποελ Τελ Αβίβ) - 13,6

Round 6vs Monaco
vs SGs-2.60vs SFs-5.72

Consistently in double digits and competitive through the first five games of the season, Bryant enjoys steady playing time (with the exception of the last one) despite the strong internal competition in his team’s backcourt and continues to slowly but surely raise his price. The encouraging part is that he looks capable of picking up from where he left off last year, maintaining his value as a reliable mid-tier guard option in Fantasy.

Nadir Hifi (Παρί) - 12,7

Round 6@ Partizan
vs SGs+6.00

The Frenchman keeps revving up, capped by his 32 Index Rating against Baskonia in Round 4, while continuing to contribute across other categories (assists, steals). He salvaged his fantasy line against Hapoel in the final quarter, reaching double digits again (now 5/5), with 13 being his lowest mark so far. Hifi seems capable of climbing even higher — and if he manages to “save” his quieter nights with double-digit PIRs, he can establish himself as a solid Fantasy pick, with the inevitable explosive performances pushing him further.

Darius Thompson (Βαλένθια) - 12,2

Round 6@ Milano
vs PGs-1.46

He maintains an excellent ranking-per-minute ratio, averaging 17.6 PIR in 21:25 of playing time, while it’s encouraging that during the double week his assist count also rose (14 total) — a category that highlights his fantasy relevance. The return of Montero from injury and the already …crowded backcourt in Valencia are legitimate concerns, though it’s hard to imagine Thompson’s minutes dropping below 20 given his steady output. His ceiling may have lowered a bit, but it’s too early to tell how the new rotations will shape up in the Spanish team’s guard line.

Justin Robinson (Παρί) - 12,1

Round 6@ Partizan
vs PGs+3.37

The American continues to get limited playing time (under 17 minutes in both games of the double week) yet performs admirably thanks to his huge usage rate and his proven knack for drawing fouls (5.3 fouls drawn in 17:08 on average). His ceiling clearly looks higher, and once you see those first 20-minute outings appear, you may want to take his case more seriously — if it’s not too late by then.

Wade Baldwin IV (Φενερμπαχτσέ) - 11,5

Round 6@ Efes
vs PGs-0.45

You’d expect Horton-Tucker’s injury to boost the American’s Fantasy status, but instead, Baldwin is coming off three double-digit yet far less impressive performances than his projected level — perhaps partly due to Wilbekin’s return, but not enough to justify such underwhelming results from Fener’s guard. On the flip side, at 11.5 credits he can’t really hurt you, meaning you can safely stick with him, getting a steady score each round in the worst-case scenario — and several higher ones in what’s likely the more realistic case.

Omari Moore (Βαλένθια) - 11,2

Round 6@ Milano
vs SGs+4.91

A first off-night after four strong performances for the American, who took few shots and was held to a single point in Monaco. Montero’s return certainly complicates matters, and this coincidence with Moore’s latest low score probably keeps him out of your top options this week — though there’s no reason you can’t keep him in your roster. He’s an excellent player who still looks capable of holding his value even amid tougher competition, while in a similar price range (7.1 credits) De Larrea offers comparable intrigue — theoretically a higher ceiling, but stuck fighting for minutes among “heavyweights,” as his recent numbers show.

Codi Miller-McIntyre (Ερυθρός Αστέρας) - 10,7

Round 6vs Baskonia
vs PGs-0.07

His minutes remain massive, but his performances swung sharply: he struggled against Zalgiris but was superb versus Real, producing back-to-back season low and high scores. Consistency isn’t Miller-McIntyre’s strong suit in Zvezda’s jersey, but there’s plenty of potential for a player priced at 10.7 credits. Given his heavy workload and an upcoming weak opponent (his former team, Baskonia), the odds lean in his favor to post another strong round.

A first 20+ PIR of the season for ASVEL’s rookie, who capitalized on the extra playing time against Virtus and showed for the first time that he can be Fantasy-relevant. There’s still a long way to go, of course, but with ASVEL’s injuries, we may soon see him stabilize above 20 minutes per game. When De Colo plays, however, the Fantasy spotlight belongs to him.

The international guard keeps riding a hot streak, delivering fairly consistent scores — often well above his price range — and showcasing new facets to his game. Olympiacos will likely see some returns against Bayern, which will reduce Dorsey’s huge playing time but not to a degree that should deter you from keeping him. For now, the Olympiacos guard looks fully capable of sustaining his pace, making him a standout, competitive choice in your build.

Once again, Hall continues to deliver both in real and fantasy terms, proving he can be a clear low-cost target for your team. Although Wilbekin’s return may have trimmed his minutes slightly — and with them, his ceiling — his 5/5 double-digit scores and Fener’s still unsettled backcourt suggest he can keep outperforming his cost for a while longer.

After Dorsey, do we also have Obst (who, coincidentally, faces him this week)? The German keeps hitting shot after shot, gaining confidence and, consequently, more minutes — achieving four straight double-digit scores for the first time in his Euroleague career! His previous record was just two, so we’re seeing both a clear improvement (in a Bayern team that’s weaker this season) and, conversely, the visible risk of a cold night bringing a big minus (as in Round 1). Still, his momentum is undeniable, and we can’t ignore the Bayern sharpshooter, who also boasts one of the highest Last4 averages at his position (20.3 PIR).

Matthew Strazel (Μονακό) - 7,4

The opening -2 PIR against Zalgiris hurt the Frenchman’s fantasy image, but he bounced back with decent performances, culminating in a season-high 17 against Valencia in the last round, while his minutes remain around 20. Removing the first game, Strazel’s numbers justify his price, and given his experience now, he can stand as a relatively reliable option in the lower mid-price guard tier.

Kamar Baldwin (Μπάγερν) - 7,3

He logged more minutes in Jovic’s absence during the double round, showing that under the right conditions he could creep onto the fantasy radar among mid-tier guards. For now, though, there’s no reason to rush — more positive samples are needed, althought his teammate’s status could often push the Georgian back into a primary role. At a similar price range, Prepelic is another option, benefiting from Musa’s absence and even logging more minutes — but since the Bosnian won’t be out much longer, the Slovenian may not serve as a long-term choice in an unlimited-transfer round.

Dario Brizuela (Μπαρτσελόνα) - 7,3

Another beneficiary of a teammate’s injury is the Spanish international, who has entered Barcelona’s rotation more actively since Laprovittola went down. Brizuela has proven before (last season) that he can provide fantasy value in this context, making him — though still a bit of an outsider given his modest stats so far — a reasonable guard option in this price range.

The somewhat funny part here is that Herrera gets more minutes than Robinson and still barely manages to stay fantasy-relevant, and this mainly due to his near-minimum cost. The Paris guard does have an edge over the competition at his price, averaging 17:48 per game and capable of producing more than a DNP on good nights, but the +0.4 premium above the minimum may not be worth paying right now — unless, of course, you happen to have some leftovers after the 9+1 other moves you’ll likely be making.

When your “bad” score is a 19, and when you can consistently deliver 60 or more captain points each round, then you simply can’t be left out of any Fantasy roster. No introduction is needed for the top performer — once again — of the Fantasy season, while here’s a curious stat: the Olympiacos forward played the exact same number of minutes (29:54) against both Efes and Maccabi in the recent double week. Calculators, beware.

Relaxed performances from Mirotic against Virtus and Valencia, with the Montenegrin looking noticeably calmer after the first two rounds. That’s partly expected given Monaco’s overall setup, but it doesn’t mean he can’t explode again at any time (after all, he’s averaging 20.6 PIR in 21:21 — not many boast a better ratio). He remains firmly on the radar in a central role but isn’t the top priority this round.

The Nigerian looks more lively under Obradovic’s guidance, even if his double-week numbers don’t quite reflect his upgraded momentum (and those 3.6 fouls per game need attention). Still, his on-court energy makes him a tempting buy — especially as he’s also logging minutes at the 5. When Moneke is engaged, he’s undeniably one of the best forwards available, and with a home game coming against his former team Baskonia (riddled with problems and giving up +4.89 PF), the temptation to “go all in” in the Forward position is understandable.

It was about that time to move from Chima Moneke to Chuma Okeke! The former NBA player of Real Madrid is on an impressive streak of three strong outings (22.3 PIR on average), marked by deadly accuracy from beyond the arc (10/13) and solid rebounding (6 per game). His shooting numbers aren’t exactly sustainable long-term, and without contributions in other categories his fantasy future looks uncertain, but for now he’s a quality solution still finding his footing — meaning there may be room for growth down the line.

The Serbian big man has rediscovered his rhythm from last season with Crvena Zvezda, dazzling in the recent clash against Barcelona with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 28 PIR. All of Petrusev’s scores so far are double-digit, with four of five above 17 (the only exception being the 12 at SEF), clearly pointing toward further price increases. Over his last three games, Osman has averaged 32:19 minutes and 21 PIR — numbers that easily label him undervalued. Panathinaikos’ roster is loaded with talent, yet Osman’s form seems dependent only on his own momentum; as long as he stays in rhythm, we may soon see him priced in higher tiers.

The Nigerian forward has been off the charts, producing one huge performance after another (topped by his 34 PIR against Zalgiris). His all-around stat line offers reliability and security, combined with heavy minutes on the floor. Every key number is there (except three-point shooting — which, if it clicks, could make things even scarier). It’s no coincidence that Nwora is currently the second-best player in the competition by ranking. Maybe it’s time he joins your team too?

Round 6@ RedStar
vs SFs+4.05

Steadily solid, the American forward now boasts five straight double-digit scores — most of them quite competitive — and contributes across multiple categories, suggesting his best Fantasy stretch might still be ahead. His price remains attractive, making him a worthy addition even this round. The main concern remains his turnovers (3.2 per game), and once he finds some rhythm from deep (just 2/11 so far), he’ll be ready for a real level-up — both in his game and in our game.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (Μπασκόνια) - 9,8

Plenty of points, plenty of shots, big minutes, and decent rankings — that’s been the French forward’s recipe through the latest double week, maintaining his undervalued status in the game. His shooting percentages show he’s in fine form, so at a cost of 9.8 credits, you can certainly roll with him for as long as this fantasy momentum lasts.

Round 6vs Paris
vs SGs-0.24vs SFs-2.15

A quiet double week for the German, with the 4 PIR against Real standing out — and even the 9 against Baskonia didn’t help much to restore his momentum given his 9.7-credit price tag. With the market already full of more intriguing higher-end options — which in turn force managers to look for cheaper alternatives elsewhere — Bonga’s case likely stays on the sidelines for now, ready to resurface once he returns to double-digit form, possibly aided by roster absences.

Round 6@ Partizan
vs PFs+2.67

Two encouraging outings from the American during the double week, highlighted by his 12 rebounds against Baskonia that powered a 19 PIR, followed by a 17 against Hapoel. Willis doesn’t log huge minutes (16:53), but his presence has been solid — especially if you ignore his quiet opener (13.8 PIR in his Last4). His three-point shot (just 20%) hasn’t clicked yet, which used to be one of his weapons, so we’ll wait to see if he can build on this stretch at his reasonable 8.9-credit price.

Round 6@ Milano
vs PFs-4.99

Back to more respectable levels during the double week, the forward keeps his undervalued status intact, with an average PIR (15) nearly double his cost. Without one standout statistical strength, Reuvers finds ways to stay competitive, and it’ll be interesting to see if he can hold this level — continuing to provide valuable credits and points to those who own him. Truthfully, his price is attractive enough that skipping him without a second thought seems risky.

Round 6vs Panathinaikos
vs SFs-1.78

A model of consistency since the start of his Euroleague career, the Italian’s scoring range of 8–16 across five games stands out. He leans heavily on rebounding (5.8 per game), but his strength lies in balance — there’s no stat category where he truly loses ground. That’s a rare and valuable quality, and as Niang continues to expand his role in Virtus’ system, it looks like he’ll be doing the same in the Euroleague Fantasy market.

Round 6@ Barcelona
vs SFs-2.89

The Lithuanian isn’t the hidden gem that’ll blow you away, nor the steal of the season, but his steady rebounding (around 3.5 per game for many seasons) combined with bits and pieces across other stats often keeps him competitive among mid-range forwards. His defensive ability earns him minutes, and if he throws in more flashes like his 6/7 three-point game against Milan, Butkevicius could remain Fantasy-relevant.

David Lighty (Βιλερμπάν) - 5,7

Jackson was supposed to be here in place of Lighty, but with the Frenchman injured, ASVEL’s backcourt options have become extremely limited (Harrison is also out). Lighty can take advantage of this situation — he’s already seeing about 20 minutes per game and averaging 8.8 PIR, numbers that justify his purchase price.

Two relatively decent performances from the Serbian during the double week have brought him some renewed attention as a low-cost option who can contribute useful points. The financial risk is well-known here, but if he continues to get around 15 minutes per game and stays at least mildly productive — limiting the losses — you can certainly call him up for duty.

Round 6@ Maccabi
vs Cs+8.76

The 27 and the 0 of the double week are the two faces of the same player — a man with tremendous potential but also the occasional off night that can wipe out an otherwise strong Fantasy performance. Tavares hasn’t started the season particularly well, and his 14.4 credits, which in past years would’ve looked like a bargain for him, are anything but tempting right now. However, the early Turn 1 in which he plays, Fernando’s absence for Round 6 (and beyond), and Maccabi’s obvious weakness in the paint could all attract managers looking for a calculated opportunity.

Daniel Theis (Μονακό) - 14,3

Round 6@ Hapoel
vs Cs-2.68

This week he dropped slightly in both scoring and ranking, though without losing his double-digit streak in either category, maintaining a perfect 5/5 so far. The 14 and 17 PIR are not exactly numbers that justify a 14.3-credit investment, and while the German looks in excellent form — and is clearly one of the most efficient players at his position right now (27/31 field goals is a ridiculous stat) — there may be more undervalued cases worth exploring.

Nikola Milutinov (Ολυμπιακός) - 14,1

Round 6@ Bayern

He was an unstoppable force against Maccabi, confirming once again his unquestionable connection with numbers. The 10 PIR versus Efes earlier was a small warning sign, as he was out of rhythm for an entire half, but after his 23-point explosion in the next game, there’s really no reason for concern. His price is already 1.7 credits higher than the starting point, and with a fantasy average of 23.44, there’s nowhere to go but up.

Mfiondu Kabengele (Ντουμπάι) - 13,7

He shredded Fenerbahce’s defense with 26 points and 31 PIR, then followed it up in Paris with just 10 points but 13 rebounds for a 21 PIR. Kabengele is currently the second-best center in Fantasy (behind only Milutinov), and what’s most encouraging is that his playing time surpassed 20 minutes for the first time last week — and he did it twice. We had hinted at this trend earlier, and given these developments, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call the Canadian undervalued at 13.7 credits.

Devin Booker (Μιλάνο) - 12,8

vs Cs-3.79

The injuries of Nebo and Leday opened up both time and opportunity for the American, who immediately responded with back-to-back 27s, followed by a solid 13 PIR in Zalgiris, making a sudden but impactful Fantasy entrance. With 30 minutes per game, Booker has plenty of ways to fill the stat sheet and can easily offer more than the 12.8 credits you’ll spend to get him — not a minor investment, but not a prohibitive one either.

He wreaked havoc against ASVEL, posting 24 points on 11/12 shooting and grabbing 10 rebounds for 33 PIR, then stayed reliable in the following game against Efes with 15 PIR. These were essentially the first two positive signs from Panathinaikos’ center this season, so more time is needed before he becomes a serious Fantasy option. For now, he’s listed as questionable ahead of the Virtus matchup — a situation that could redirect attention toward Yurtseven if his teammate ends up sitting out.

He disappeared in Valencia, as his teammates didn't find him on the floor, but bounced back in Paris with an emphatic 29 PIR, reaffirming that he belongs firmly in the top three of the position right now. Oturu’s body of work so far has been, if not spectacular, certainly encouraging, and with his price still reasonable (12.1 credits for a 20.5 average), he’s clearly among the prime picks for your team.

He posted his first single-digit PIR of the season against Zvezda but recovered with an 18 PIR versus Milan, a game in which he also logged his season-high in minutes. That’s the one missing piece for Wright’s stronger upward trajectory this year — the minutes. The potential is definitely there, and as he adjusts better and finds more rhythm throughout entire games, his consistency should rise. Not an immediate buy, but definitely someone to keep very close on your radar.

Let’s be honest — the 3 PIR against Real wasn’t the season’s biggest disappointment, but the Lithuanian big still struggled to find the basket despite drawing fouls. His previous outing against Zalgiris was much more promising, and even if you just look at the average for Zvezda’s new center, there’s clear value in acquiring him at 7.6 credits.
