High Voltage lines up all its Turn 3 players in the starting five.
The reason for switching to the alternative plan with Milutinov and Atamna instead of Oturu and De Larrea wasn’t just the uncertain status of the latter two only hours before the start of Round 3. Most reports suggested they’d likely be fine to play — so the risk, at least in my mind (though never fully gone — we’ve seen everything in this game), was largely contained. Still, since I was already planning to bring in Milutinov next week, and considering I had already made an extra move with the coach (which might trigger another one next round compared to the original plan of keeping Ataman for four straight weeks), this felt like a good opportunity to save a future transfer in the center position for Round 4. If this move also pays off in points, all the better — though Oturu did start strong with a 21 Index Rating in Wednesday’s opening game.
So, High Voltage had active players only from Thursday, with Osmani leading the way, scoring a team-high 18 PIR thanks to another commanding performance: 21 points (3/5 two-pointers, 3/10 from deep, 6/8 free throws), 5 rebounds, and 4 drawn fouls in 35:23 minutes! His huge workload combined with his standout stat line points toward a potential breakout season, though it’s still early for conclusions.
Close behind was Trent Forrest, with another well-rounded showing — 15 points (5/14 FG, 4/5 FT), 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 16 PIR in 27.5 minutes. It wasn’t enough, though, to keep the captain’s armband for the next day.
Perhaps the most impressive, all things considered, was Edwin Jackson. The veteran guard started hot in Madrid, finishing with 15 PIR from 16 points (3/7 twos, 3/5 threes, 4 drawn fouls) in 24:24. For just 4 credits, performances like that are gold — especially when compared to Atamna’s -1 (3 points, 1/5 from three in 13:46) and Samodurov’s 3.3 (7:10 minutes without a single field goal attempt!).
As for the coach, Scariolo’s calm 85–72 win over Villeurbanne earned 20 points, a solid boost for the team.
Now, the Turn 3 lineup includes five starters (Vezenkov, Milutinov, Dorsey, Baldwin, Wright) with Osmani alongside them. The benchmark is Forrest’s 16 PIR, which isn’t bad, but in theory, all five can surpass it. Since we’re not talking about an exceptionally high threshold (like a 20+ performance), there’s no real reason to overthink potential misfires.
So, everyone goes all in as starters with Osmani, while Forrest and Jackson move to the bench, joined by Atamna and Samodurov.
Captain: naturally, Vezenkov.
Roster
Thus, the final roster for High Voltage in Round 3 of the game will likely look as follows:
