Each BasketStories member is able to play in the PickMaster Euroleague. Only registered members of BasketStories have the right to participate in the PickMaster Euroleague.
Participation in the PickMaster Euroleague does not require the entry of any additional information by a BasketStories member, other than those entered during their registration in BasketStories.
Participation in the PickMaster Euroleague is open at any time of the year. The game does not have a deadline for the participation of the players.
The game is not related to the official organizing authority of the Euroleague.
The scores of the players' predictions in the PickMaster Euroleague are based on the actual results of the Euroleague games. BasketStories bears no responsibility for the game results according to which the players' predictions are scored, but only for the way that their predictions are scored, based on the games results, as defined in the
game instructions.
Each player is responsible for confirming that their individual predictions have been saved, during the prediction process. Each player's predictions must appear on the "Make Predictions" page immediately after they are submitted. BasketStories bears no responsibility in the event that a prediction has not been saved. In this case the player is asked to repeat the prediction process or to contact BasketStories.
Games that are postponed to a later date due to the coronavirus or other conditions may not be counted in the game scores and standings. In this case, these games give zero points to any kind of score and bonus that may be related.
Games that are canceled or not finished, or their result is determined otherwise (eg. 20-0) due to the coronavirus or other conditions are not counted in the game scores and standings. These games give zero points to any kind of scores/bonuses that may be related.
The first winner of the PickMaster Euroleague wins one (1) Nintendo Switch Lite. The prize includes the classic package available on the market. It does not include extra controls, or games, or any other accessories and peripherals.
The second winner of the PickMaster Euroleague wins one (1) SPALDING TF-500 basketball.
The third winner of the PickMaster Euroleague win one (1) SPALDING TF-150 basketball.
The fourth and fifth winners of the PickMaster Euroleague win one (1) basketball book of their choice, from a specific pool of books/choices.
The winner of Olympiacos standings in the PickMaster Euroleague wins one (1) official jersey of the team.
The winner of Panathinaikos standings in the PickMaster Euroleague wins one (1) official jersey of the team.
The Regular Season Winner of the PickMaster Euroleague wins one (1) ticket for the Euroleague Final 4, whose dates and place will be announced within the season. The prize includes the tickets for the four games of the Final Four and does not include shipping, accommodation or other expenses/tickets. This prize is valid only if the Final Four is normally held with people (at least 50% fullness). Otherwise, it will be replaced by a Euroleague team jersey, unless the winner of the Regular Season is also the winner at the end of the season, so he receives the first prize of the competition (a Nintendo Switch Lite) and the next prizes go to the next ones in the final standings.
The winner of any Max 5 Standings in the PickMaster Euroleague wins one (1) basketball book of their choice, from a specific pool of books/choices.
The places of the winners of the prizes refer to the final overall standings of the game, as they appear/emerge after the end of the game and the Euroleague competition and not in any intermediate phase of the game or the competition except for the Max 5 Standings, which relate to specific competition intervals during the season.
In case of a tie in the standings, the tiebreaker criteria, as stated on the
instructions page, apply.
The prizes of the winners of the total standings are distinct and each one corresponds to a single player only, according to their place, as defined on the
instructions page. Therefore, each PickMaster Euroleague player can win only one of the prizes of the total standings (General, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos).
The Regular Season winner is automatically excluded from any other prize resulting from the final standings of the game, unless Final 4 does not run at full capacity and at the same time the Regular Season winner finishes first in the final standings, thus winning the prize of the final winner (a Nintendo Switch Lite).
The winner in each final standings is the player who will collect the highest score of all the other players, except the winner of the Regular Season (unless Final 4 is not conducted at full capacity, in which case Regular Season winner is normally considered for the first place in the final standings).
In the event that a player finishes in a prize place in both the general total standings and a team standings (Olympiacos, Panathinaikos), then they win the prize that corresponds to priority: a) in the 1st place of the general standings, b) in the 1st place of the team standings, c) in the 2nd place of the general standings, d) in the 3rd place of the general standings.
Max 5 Standings prizes can be combined with each other, as well as with prizes from other standings. A player who has won a Max 5 prize can win any other prize in the game.
The winners' prizes are delivered at the end of the season, after the end of the game.
Players' scores and standings in the PickMaster Euroleague are autonomous and independent and are not added or affected in any way by scores or standings that the same players may have in other BasketStories games.
The listed prizes of the winners can be modified or replaced by other prizes (of equivalent or lower value) if this is deemed necessary, or a relevant need arises (eg prize unavailability, or prize overpricing).
For the book winning places, the list of books is predetermined and their equal distribution will be done in consultation with the relevant winners. In case of a tie and unavailability of the selection, priority is given to 1) the winners of the general standings, 2) the players with the highest max 5 scores in the respective interval they won.
In case the winner of a prize lives outside Greece, it is his own responsibility to receive the prize he won through greek territory. BasketStories has no obligation to send a prize outside the geographical territory of Greece.
BasketStories offers players the opportunity to create their own Private Leagues and declare, if they wish, a prize for their winners. BasketStories is not associated with Private Leagues prizes and has no responsibility for securing and receiving the specified prizes to the winners of the relevant Private Leagues.
BasketStories has the right to suspend temporarily or even permanently the operation and the activities of the game, if necessary. In the event that Euroleague cancels/suspends their competition or not all scheduled games of the Euroleague take place, no winners will be nominated for the total standings (General, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos) and players will not be eligible to claim any of the corresponding prizes, unless all Regular Season rounds and games have been taken place and there is a Euroleague official champion, through the playoffs and the Final Four, in the regular estimated time of the Euroleague competition (until May 2025).
In case of cancellation or postponement of the Euroleague competition due to the coronavirus, the operation of the PickMaster Euroleague may be permanently suspended by BasketStories. In this case no winners will be nominated for the total standings (General, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos) and players will not be eligible to claim any of the corresponding prizes, unless all Regular Season rounds and games have been taken place and there is a Euroleague official champion, through playoffs, in the regular estimated time of the Euroleague competition (until May 2025).
The intervals of the Max 5 rounds are defined as follows: rounds 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-34, 35-41 (Playins-Playoffs), 42-43 (Final Four).
In case of no rounds played within a specific Max 5 interval/standings, no relevant winner is announced. If even one round is held from the respective Max 5 interval, then a relevant winner is nominated.
In order for a new Max 5 interval to begin, five rounds must have been completed / included within the previous Max 5 interval, unless otherwise specified in the interval specifications (eg 31-34 rounds interval, or Playoffs interval). If a round is canceled, then a necessary shift of the rounds takes place in the respective intervals, in order to obtain the number that was predefined. For example, if only rounds 1, 7, 12, 19, 25 have taken place, these form a unified Max 5 interval and not five separate ones.
